It looks like most of the snow will be in Western and Northern Central New York, with the Northern part of the state expected to get several inches of snow.

Again this is an early prediction, but if it does come true we could see a very start to our winter. Here is a look at the average dates across New York State that we can expect to get measurable snow.

Buffalo - November 8th
Rochester - November 8th
Syracuse - November 6th
Binghamton - November 6th
Albany - November 16th
New York City - December 14th

Measurable snow is defined by the National Weather Service as 0.1 inch or more in a 24 hour period.

An early start to our winter is in line with Winter predictions from the Farmer's Almanac which called for a colder and wetter winter in New York for 2024-25.
