The weekend is set to wrap up with plenty of Winter weather across New York State.

All of New York is under some sort of Winter Weather advisory as a massive winter weather front is moving across the State.

Starting in Western New York, there is a Winter Weather Advisory in place for all of the region until Monday morning at 1 am. There will be a mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow over the next 24 hours.

In Central and Northern New York, there is a Lake Effect Snow warning in place for Onondaga, Oswego, Wayne, and Northern Cayuga. There could be up to 21 inches of snow for some areas over the next 24-48 hours according to the National Weather Service.

For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, heavy lake
effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 10 to 21 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Monday and Monday night creating blowing and drifting snow with near whiteout conditions at times.


Travel could be impacted by this storm and the latest round of snow and wind. If you are traveling on the roads make sure to give yourself plenty of extra time to reach your destination.
