
New York State Under Winter Weather Advisories
The winter weather is set to continue today across New York State and that has led the National Weather Service to issue several winter weather alerts.
In Western New York, there is a Winter Weather Advisory in place for all of the region until 6 pm tonight. Another 4 to 7 inches of snow is expected before 6 pm tonight and the windy conditions will continue. We could see wind gusts until 60 miles per hour throughout the day today. Most of the snow is expected to happen after 8 am this morning.
In Central New York, a Winter Storm Warning is in place for Oswego, Jefferson. Oneida and Lewis counties until 1 am on Thursday. Another 3 to 6 inches of snow could fall and wind gusts could be as high as 55 miles per hour.

Downstate, there is a Winter Weather Advisory in place for Northern Berkshire, Montgomery. Northern Saratoga. Northern Warren. Schoharie, Eastern Rensselaer. Western Greene. Western Ulster, and Southeast Warren counties until 1 am on Thursday. An additional 1-3 inches of snow is possible with very windy conditions throughout the day.
Travel will be impacted by the weather and you should plan ahead if you are traveling around New York State today.
Temperatures will drop as the day progresses but the good news is that we will get a shot of warmer weather starting tomorrow and heading into Friday.
