It will be a slow go for commuters across much of New York State this morning. A major cold front is bringing a mix of snow, rain, and sleet and that will make roads across New York very icy.
Warning For Morning Commute In New York State
Things for the ride into work and school will be iffy this morning for much of New York State. Snow, ice, and rain will all combine to make roads very slippery for the morning commute. Winds will also pick up with gusts up to 40 miles per hour which will also have an impact on your morning commute.
Be Prepared For Winter Weather In New York State
While we are still a week or so away from the official start of Winter in New York, the weather will make it seem like it's already here.

There are some things that you should have/do to be prepared for driving in winter weather.
Make Sure you have extra clothing, non-perishable food, and water in case you get stuck.

Fill up your gas tank before hitting the road. You don't want to run out of gas if you get stuck in traffic or in a storm.
Let someone know your plan. If you are traveling, make sure someone you trust knows where you are headed and what route you are taking. That way, if a storm hits, they can direct emergency personnel to where you should be.
