If you were hoping that summer weather would soon be here, you will be disappointed with the forecast this week.

As we get ready to head into Memorial Day weekend, which many people feel is the unofficial start to summer, we will be dealing with autumn-like temperatures across the state.

Frost Advisory Issued For New York State

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a frost advisory for most of New York State. The advisory is in place from Buffalo all the way East to Monticello. The Frost Advisory is in place from 2 am on Tuesday until 8 am on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to drop into the low to mid-30s for much of the state.

Cooler Weather Expected This Week Across New York State

Much of New York will be experiencing cooler-than-normal weather this week as two cold fronts are expected to sweep across the state this week. Normally at this time of year, temperatures would be in the upper 60s.

This week, we are expecting our highs to only be in the 50s, which could end up being 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year.

When Will We Warm Up Across New York State?

Looking at the Accuweather long-range forecast, we are expecting to get into the 70s until the start of June. That means we are looking at two weeks of below-average temperatures to close out the month of May.
