This weekend will go into the record books here in Western New York.

If you thought it rained a lot on Saturday, you would be 100% right. In fact, we got some much rain on June 29th, that a new record was set in Buffalo.

According to the National Weather Service, The Buffalo airport, where all weather records are recorded in Western New York, received 1.66 inches of rain. That nearly doubled the old record of .084 which was recorded back in 1897.

The good news is that even will all that rain and severe weather there were no reports of major damage or flooding around Western New York.

As of the time of this writing, there were no flood issues along any of the waterways in Western New York.

The weather should be much better in the 716 heading to the 4th of Jul Holiday. We are looking at a mix of sun and clouds with a high near 72 for Monday.

Tuesday will be a tab bit warmer with the high near 80 and mostly sunny skies for the region.

Wednesday is looking like another decent day with a high near 87 and a mix of sun and clouds.

For the 4th of July, it is another warm day with a high near 82 and a mix of sun and clouds. It looks like it will be a good evening to watch fireworks across Western New York.
