It might be time to break out those summer clothes as we will see a massive warmup in the area.

After a cool start to our Friday, we will see a bit of a warm-up today.

This weekend we can expect rain and windy conditions but then temperatures will be more summer-like than spring as we kick off the final week of April.

Looking ahead to Monday we could end up setting a new record high. The current record is 81 degrees which was set in 1990 and on Monday if the conditions are right, we could hit that mark or even past it.

Most of Western New York will be looking at mid-70s and possible low 80s on Monday.

Will the warm weather stay with us?

The long-range forecast is calling for more average temps the rest of next week as we wrap up April. We will see the highs in the mid-60s.
