Hopefully, you haven't put away the snow blower and snow shovels and plenty of snow is expected this weekend across Western New York.

Today morning rain will give way to clouds and it will remain cold with temperatures staying in the teens. A winter weather storm system is expected to push through the area on Saturday and bring with it plenty of snow for the weekend.

By the end of the weekend, we could end up seeing totals near 8 inches for places like Dunkirk, Westfield, and North Boston.

Snow off Lake Ontario is also expected to produce several inches of snow for the Northtowns over the weekend. Niagara Falls could get over 9 inches of snow while Olcott and Albion could end up getting into the double digits with over 10 inches of snow.

The snow should wrap up by Monday morning with President's Day and the start to many kids' mid-winter break being mostly cloudy and cold. Highs for Monday look like they will hold steady in the mid-teens.
