The first flakes of winter 2025-26 are on the way to Western New York. The latest weather models are calling for a blast of VERY cold air, and along with that will be the first flakes of winter.

The first flakes of winter 2025-26 are expected to move into the region on late Sunday evening and stay in Western New York for a couple of days.

A massive cold air mass is will sweep across much of the Northeast on Sunday and bring a blast of winter to Western New York.

This could be the first step to a cold and snowy winter.
