
Million Dollar Winning Scratch Off Sold In Western New York
Someone in Western New York is a lot richer this week.
The New York State Lottery announced that someone has claimed a one million dollar winning New York Lottery scratch-off ticket here in Western New York.
According to the New York State Lottery, the winning ticket was claimed by a Buffalo-based LLC called Tar Ray Moon

The LLC has claimed the One million dollar prize from the New York Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off game.
Tar Ray Moon LLC took home roughly $651,000 with the lump sum payout after taxes were taken out.
The winning ticket was sold at the Tops Friendly Market at 3955 Vineyard Drive in Dunkirk.
Currently, at the time of this writing, The New York Lottery still has 24 million dollar prizes and four $5 million dollar top prizes left on the VIP Millions ticket lottery game.

This million-dollar winning ticket was just one of 22 "big money" winning lottery tickets sold or claimed in New York in the month of June. "Big Money" tickets are lottery tickets that have winnings worth $1 million dollars or more.
The biggest winner was Johnnie Taylor who claimed the Mega Millions grand prize jackpot of $476 million dollars. The jackpot was the largest ever won by a New York Resident.
Other "big money" winners include Greg Schwab who won $1 million dollars with the Powerball, Christine Spain-Taylor who won $1 million dollars from a scratch-off, and Luis Acosta who won $1000 per week for life from the New York Lottery.
