John Murphy Stepping Away From Mic
It is official, the Buffalo Bills will have a new voice heading into the upcoming season.
This morning the Bills announced that John Murphy is stepping away from the broadcast booth ahead of the season.

Murphy grew up in Lockport and worked for WKBW for years before heading into the broadcast booth during Bills games.
He was the Bills' play-by-play announcer since 2003 when he took over the role from Van Miller who retired that year. Murphy had acted as the color analyst for Miller from 1994 until 2003.

Murphy has been a major part of sports broadcasting here in Western New York. He was induction into the Buffalo Broadcasters Association's Hall of Fame in 2019.
He was awarded the Dick Gallagher Legacy Award from the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2022 for all that he has done for local sports and community in Western New York.
