The New 96.1 has become one of the first radio stations in the country and the only radio station in Western New York to flip to all Christmas music. The flip happened at 7 am this morning, and you can tune in 24/7 to hear all your favorite Christmas music.

You will hear a mix of contemporary Christmas songs, classic favorites, and some off-the-wall songs that you love, like "Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer"

Favorite Christmas Memories

One of the reasons we play Christmas music starting on November 1st is the memories associated with the music. For me, my favorite Christmas song is Bob Seger's "Little Drummer Boy'

I remember when I was five or six, that song playing on the radio and my dad picking me up and dancing around the kitchen with me as my mom was baking Christmas cookies. I am 49 years old now, and that is one memory that remains vividly in my mind every time I hear that song.

So this holiday season, remember the good times of years past and create new memories while listening to your favorite Christmas songs with the New 96.1

Christmas Music Too Early?
