The warm weather is gone across New York State. After several days of record and near-record temperatures, the weather is returning to what is expected in the month of November....cold.

An arctic cold front is set to bring temperatures that are 20 to 25 degrees cooler than we saw on Wednesday and Thursday this week across New York State.


The average temperature for November 1st in New York State is around 58 degrees. Today we will see highs in the lower 50s across the state.

The cold weather will start out in the Western part of the state with temperatures in the low 50s for Buffalo and Western New York. The temperatures in Central and Eastern New York will remain above average on Friday but will drop starting Friday night and into the weekend.

For example, Syracuse will have a high of 63 on Friday before falling to around 48 on Saturday and hovering around 53 on Sunday.
