Weather Records Could Be Set In New York State
The last day of Winter could end up being a record-setting one for many places across New York State. A massive warm front is sweeping across the state today and with that could be record-high temperatures.
Starting out in Western New York, the current record for the daily high is 74 which was set back in 2012. Today's forecast is calling for a high of around 76 which would set a new record. This would be the 2nd time this week a new record high would be set in Buffalo.
In Rochester, the winds would need to remain calm to hit a new record. The current record high is 77 which was set back in 1903. Today's high is expected to get into the mid-70s. Things would all have to line up to set a new record.

In Albany, the current record high is 72 degrees. Today's forecast is calling for a high in the upper 60s and low 70s, so again we would need everything to line up to set a new record high. Today would be the second time this month that a new record would be set. A record high was just set back on March 11th.
In New York City, the warm weather doesn't look like it will hit the "Big Apple" today. The current forecast is calling for a high near 60 which is 9 degrees below the record high of 69.
So if you want to feel summer like weather today, your best bet is to head west to New York State's second-biggest city, Buffalo, New York.
