It was a wild weather week across New York State, and officials with the National Weather Service in Buffalo and Binghamton have confirmed that several tornadoes touched down this week.

We saw some very scary weather sweep across New York State on Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning.

Officials with the National Weather Service in Buffalo and Binghamton spent much of Thursday collecting data and confirming that several tornadoes did touch down across the state.

Overall, 5 tornadoes were confirmed to have touched down this week in New York State.

These five tornadoes bring the official confirmed tornado count to 21 in 2026 for New York State.

Massive Flooding Shuts Down Roads In Western New York

Another wave of severe weather pushed across parts of Western New York on Thursday night, leaving flooding issues across the Northtowns.

Flooding occurred in Buffalo, Amherst, Kenmore, and more.

More rain is expected today across parts of Western New York. While it won't be as severe as yesterday, it could add to flooding issues across the region.
