There is an "enhanced" risk of severe weather starting this afternoon for the City of Buffalo and parts of Western New York. Numerous thunderstorms, along with a small chance of tornadoes, are expected across the region.

It looks like the storm system will miss most of New York City and the surrounding areas. There is a slight chance of rain tonight and into Wednesday morning, but overall, the weather should be slightly above average for this time of year.
