1 –Western New York’s streak of 80+ degree days will continue today. So far we have had 7 straight days of 80 degrees or warmer days in Buffalo and today we are looking at a high near 82 so that streak will continue. This is the longest streak of 80+ degrees days in a row since 2017. Unfortunately, it looks like the streak won’t last long and a cold front will drop the temps starting on Saturday.

2 –A very familiar face on your TV will soon be leaving. According to a post on Instagram by the Buffalo Broadcaster's Association, Spectrum meteorologist Kaylee Wendt is set to leave her TV job for a new job with the Army Corp of Engineers. Wendt is a WNY native who attended school at SUNY Brockport. She worked for WIVB Channel Four before joining Spectrum News a couple of years ago.

3 – it seems like a long time ago, but this week James Cook was honored for his play in the Bills win over Miami last Thursday. Cook was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Week after he ran for 78 yards and also had three touchdowns in the game. Bills Mafia hopes he can duplicate that output this Monday when the Bills host Jacksonville on Monday Night Football.
4 – If you are looking for some good food and a great deal, I know where you can find the cheapest tacos in Western New York. My Wife Elizabeth and I checked out the Coyote Café this past Tuesday where they offer $1 tacos from 3 pm until 7 pm. This past week, we had carnitas tacos, but they change what type of taco they offer each Tuesday. They also offer Happy Hour Deals which include $5 margaritas and nachos.

5 – Soon you will be seeing a lot less Amazon boxes sitting on your front porch. The giant online retail company has kicked off a new program that aims to reduce the amount of boxes sent to buyers' home. Amazon announced that they will no longer be boxing up products that can be safely delivered without a box. That includes bags of pet food, items that are already in a box, and smaller items that can be shipped in an envelope. The goal of this new policy is to reduce the amount of cardboard waste.
6 – Check those Powerball tickets this morning. The New York State Lottery announced that there was another “Big Money” winning ticket sold in New York from last night’s drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and had the Powerball to claim the $50,000 3rd place prize. This was the 4th "Big Money" winning ticket sold in New York this week, two tickets from Monday’s drawing were sold right here in Western New York.
