Here are the top trending stories in Western New York for Monday.

1 –Remnants of Hurricane Helene (Hell-Lean) will make their way into Western New York this week, but for the most part, the weather will be above average for the end of September and heading into October. Today we are looking at a mix of sun and clouds with a high near 75. It will get cloudier tomorrow with highs near 72 and then we could see some rain on Wednesday with a high near 63. Temperatures will return to more normal ranges as the week goes on.

2 –It wasn’t a pretty game to watch last night as the Buffalo Bills suffered their first loss of the season losing to the Baltimore Ravens 35-10. After the game Head Coach Sean McDermott said the biggest problem was line back on both sides of the ball. Up next for the Bills is another tough road game against the Houston Texans. They will face formers star wide receiver Stefon Diggs who scored a touchdown in Houston’s win over Jacksonville yesterday afternoon. Kick-off for Sunday’s game is set for 1 pm.

3– This weekend was a lucky one for Lottery players in New York. The New York State Lottery announced that there were several “Big Money” winning tickets sold from Saturday’s Powerball drawing. There was also a Top Prize winning Take 5 ticket sold at the Tops on Maple Road in Amherst on Saturday. That ticket won just over $34,000 dollars.

4 – The Tool Library now owns the building it calls home. The 503 c Non-Profit purchased the building where they set up shop for $485,000 dollars. The money came from a donation drive which raised $1 million dollars. The tool Library is located at 2626 Main Street in Buffalo Central Park neighborhood. Members of the Tool Library can borrow tools for home projects just like people borrow books from local libraries. Memberships start at just $30 per year.

5 – While the Buffalo Bills didn’t win Sunday night, they were part of NFL history. Khalil Shakir set a new NFL record for most consecutive targets and catches in a row at 30. Shakir broke the record in the 1st quarter but had his streak snapped in the 2nd quarter when a pass intended for him was knocked down by the Baltimore defense. He has caught 18 passes so far this year for 230 yards and two touchdowns.
