Today Is “National Unfriend Day” On Facebook

Today is the day you "cut the fat" out of your facebook friends. Jimmy Kimmel has declared November 17th as a new holiday - "National Unfriend Day" - or "NUD" for short. Kimmel came up with the idea last week and it's picking up momentum!

Kimmel has been poking fun at the new holiday on his show and there's even a facebook page dedicated to the idea. The page lists the following guidelines for unfriending someone:

• If you wouldn’t loan someone 50 dollars, unfriend them.
• If you wouldn’t invite them to your birthday party, unfriend them.
• If you wouldn’t cry if they got hit by a bus, unfriend them.

The idea leaves me laughing, but seriously, don't unfriend me today. It's my birthday. Maybe tomorrow?
