A massive weather front is set to sweep across Western New York this afternoon and it could bring some severe weather along with it.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a warning of possible severe thunderstorms this afternoon across all of Western New York.

The weather front could also bring damaging winds and possible flooding in certain areas.

That record is 87 degrees which was set back in 1944. If the conditions get just right we could end up tying or breaking the current record.

Things will change as this front moves through Western New York. We have been hot and humid over the past couple of days, but after today the high temperatures will fall into the 60s with scattered rain showers expected over the next several days.
