While 93 is very hot, it is not close to the record high temperature recorded in New York State. That would have been back in 1926 when a high temperature of 108 was recorded in Troy, New York.

HOW MANY NEW YORK TOWNS HAVE RECORDED TEMPERATURES OVER 100 DEGREES?

Besides the 108 recorded in Troy, According to the website coolweather.com, 5 other major cities in New York have record highs over 100.

Albany's record high is 100 recorded in 1953
Islip's record high is 102 recorded in 1999
New York City's record high is 107 recorded in 1966
Rochester's record high is 102 recorded in 1936
Syracuse's record high is 102 recorded in 1936

Buffalo and Binghamton have never recorded a temperature over 100.

WHAT WAS THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED IN NEW YORK?

The coldest temperature ever recorded was -52 in the town of Old Forge in north-central New York. That temperature was recorded on February 18th,1979.

WHAT TOWN IN NEW YORK STATE HAS THE HIGHEST AVERAGE TEMPERATURE?

That would be New York City where the yearly average temperature is 55 degrees, which is the hottest yearly average in the state.
