New York Police Will Have Extra Patrols Out This Weekend

It will be a busy weekend across New York and you will see a lot more New York State Troopers and local police out and about.

As part of their Stop DWI/High visibility campaign, New York State Troopers along with local police will have more DWI checkpoints and patrols on the roads across New York State.

Currently, the Troopers are in the middle of their 100 Days of Summer campaign and will have an elevated presence every weekend throughout the summer. They will also have increased patrols and checkpoints around major holidays like the 4th of July and Labor Day weekend.

Here is a look at the dates that New York State Police and local police will have extra patrols and checkpoints in 2024.

If you do plan on drinking this summer, officials encourage you to get a designated driver or use a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft to get home safely.
