There are things I "like" and "don't like" about getting older. I like the idea of being "wiser". I like getting fewer colds. I even like an occasional nap.

I don't like the additional weight I have gained, the fact that I can walk from my office to the On-Air studio, and forget the reason I was going there in the first place. I also have a problem with the additional medications that seem to come with age, fish oil capsules for triglycerides, medication for blood pressure and occasional reflux!

So I went in search of simple natural remedies, and with the help of Prevention magazine, this is a portion of what I found:

Suffering from anxiety or stress? Eat a banana, raisins are good for high blood pressure, apricots have properties to help prevent kidney stones, a can of tuna is a mood enhancer, and pears have pectin which helps flush out "bad" cholesterol. I can vouch for the fact that many of them work.

The article from Robert Firpo-Cappiello also gives suggestions for sleeplessness, fatigue, heartburn, headaches and hemorrhoids.
