Major Film Festival Could Be Coming To Buffalo New York
We all know that Hollywood producers and directors love working in Western New York and now one of the biggest film festivals in the world could be coming to the Queen City.
During his State of the City address, City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown announced that the city is putting together a bid to bring the Sundance Film Festival to the city.

The film festival's contract with Salt Lake City, Utah is expected to expire in 2027 and Mayor Brown is hoping to bring the 10-day film fest to the 716.

WHAT IS THE SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL?
The famed film festival was started by Hollywood actor Robert Redford in 1978 that showcases documentaries, short films, as well as panel disscussions about the state of films and film making.
WHERE IS THE SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL HELD?
The film festival is held over a 10 day period at several different cities in Utah. They include Salt Lake City, Park City, and at the Sundance Resort near Provo.
WHAT OTHER CITIES ARE LOOKING AT HOSTING THE SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL?
According to several reports, besides the City of Buffalo, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Minneapolis are all looking at making bids to host the festival.

Officials with the film festival said a decision on where to hold the festival in 2027 will be made by the end of next year.
