Wind Advisory Issued For Parts Of Western New York
With the warm weather will come high gusts of wind today leaving parts of Western New York under a Wind Advisory for much of the afternoon today.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a High Wind Advisory for parts of Western New York from 11 am until 8 pm today.
...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY... * LOCATIONS...Niagara, Orleans, Jefferson, Northern Erie, and Genesee counties. * TIMING...From late Wednesday morning through early Wednesday evening. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. * IMPACTS...Winds may bring down a few tree limbs. Travel in high profile vehicles will also be difficult at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Strong wind gusts of up to 57 mph will make driving difficult and could result in minor property damage. Home owners should secure personal property.
