Major change for local TV News in Western New York
A popular local TV news anchor announced she will be leaving the broadcast medium for a new job. On her social media, Katie Morse announced she will be leaving the morning show on WKBW in August for a job outside of media.
Katie Morse Leaving Channel 7's Morning News Show
Another popular local TV personality is leaving the airwaves in Western New York. Katie Morse, who co-anchors the morning show on WKBW Channel 7 announced on her social media page that she is leaving the TV station for a job outside of media.
She is set to join Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as their new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She has been with WBKW Channel 7 for the past 12 years.
According to her post on Facebook, her last day on the air with WKBW Channel 7 will be on August 14th.

Stanonis had been in the Buffalo TV market since 2005. She started as a reporter and weather anchor with WKBW Channel 7. She was there from 2005 until 2012. In 2012, she left WKBW and moved over to WGRZ, where she has been for the past 14 years.
