All Travel Bans Have Been Lifted In Western New York

Traveling around Western New York will be a bit easier today.

As crews continue to clean up all the snow that fell over the weekend, officials have lifted all travel bans in Western New York. The bans were in place to help cleanup crews plow the roads safely.

While the all bans have been lifted, there are still travel advisories in place for parts of Western New York. South Buffalo and the southtowns remain under the advisories as crews continue to clear the main roads and side streets after record snow this weekend.

Officials are asking that if you don't have to be out on the road, please stay home. The fewer vehicles on the roads means more room for the snowplows and diggers to operate.

As the cleanup continues today and tomorrow, more and more of those travel advisories will be lifted opening up all the roads.

For those looking at traveling for the Thanksgiving break, the 90 has been reopened completely and it looks like most flights from the buffalo Niagara International airport are running on time. Airline officials did stress that you should double-check your flight status before heading to the airport.
