Inside Peek At the New Highmark Stadium in Buffalo New York

It has been a hot topic all summer long, and yesterday I had a chance to see the new Highmark Stadium in person, and here are my thoughts.

Inside Peek At The New Highmark Stadium

One of the biggest things that I noticed when I walked inside the new Highmark Stadium was the size of the concourses. There was plenty of room to walk around and lots of vendors for food and drinks. There were still some places of congestion, especially around the giant folding table.

Pros Of The New Highmark Stadium

Here are some things I really liked about the new Highmark Stadium

- Open concourses. Easy to walk around the entire stadium

- Lots of Food/Drink Choices. There were lots of choices from nachos and burgers to beef on weck and skillet cookies

- Artwork. You could spend a lot of time just looking at all the artwork around the new stadium

- The Soundsystem - We sat in section 132, and the sound of the stadium was great. Plus the crowd was LOUD!

Cons of the New Highmark Stadium

- Steep Walk to 300/400 - We walked up to the upper decks. The steps are very steep. They do have escalators and elevators, but if you walk, get ready for a hike

- Cheap plastic seats - We sat in section 132, and the seats were plastic fold-down chairs. After about an hour, they become a bit uncomfortable

- Lack of Flow - When you walk in the concourse, you have people going each and every way. I wish there was something to help people move with the flow and not cut other people off.

- Windy - It was like a wind tunnel around the outside of the stadium. I can't imagine how it will be walking into the stadium when it starts snowing. I could see blizzard-like conditions as you wait to get in.
