Through Social Media, False Photo Shared Of Boston Tragedy

Earlier today, this photo was shared on Facebook as an 8-year-old girl who died from the tragic bombings in Boston.  

In actuality, the victim was an 8-year-old boy, Martin Richard.

The original post said the the girl was running in the Boston Marathon in support of Sandy Hook.

That's kind of sick and disturbing, not to mention Martin Richard's actual sister, who lost a leg, and his mother, who is in serious condition.

The internet and Facebook can be a wonderful tool for bonding and celebrating and even morning together -- but this is just disturbing.

In fact, the photo wasn't even taken at the Boston Marathon.

Show some respect for victims. I understand trying to spread the word, but don't make things up for the sake of internet supremacy.
