This Sunday's Bills game against the Washington Commanders will be a historic one for Buffalo's Sean McDermott.

When McDermott takes the field on Sunday, he will become only the person in Buffalo Bills history to coach the team for at least 100 regular season games.

McDermott enters Sunday's game with a 63-36 record and will join Marv Levy and Lou Saben who coach the Buffalo Bills at least 100 times in the regular season.

McDermott has already surpassed the 100-game mark when you include his 4-5 playoff record.

The Bills hired McDermott in 2017 and he has made the playoffs in 5 out of the 6 years he has been the head man here in Buffalo. He missed the playoffs in 2018 when the Bills went 6-10 and finished 3rd in the AFC East.

He will have to coach at least another season to move into 2nd place overall for coaching the most regular season games for the Buffalo Bills. Lou Saben who was the Bills head man from 1962 until 1965 and then 1972 until 1976 coached the Bills in 117 regular season games. Overall Saben's record in the regular season was 68-45-4.

The man who coached the most regular season games as the Bills skipper is Hall of Famer Marv Levy. He coached the Bills from 1986 until 1997 and was the head man for 182 games. Levy's overall regular season record was 112-70.
