Million Dollar Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

One lucky New York is waking up this morning as a millionaire. The New York State Lottery announced that a second-place winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from Saturday's drawing.

One second-place ticket from Saturday's Powerball drawing was sold at Speedway on Ridge Road in Rochester. That ticket matched all five numbers but missed the Powerball number which means it claimed the $1,000,000 prize.

Another third-place winning ticket was also sold in New York as well. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and had the Powerball ticket and Powerplay which doubled the $50,000 prize.

Saturday's winning Powerball numbers were: 9-24-33-64-69 with a Powerball number of 09.

No one won the grand prize so the jackpot for Monday's Powerball drawing is now up to $212 million dollars.
