There's a new franchise on the horizon.  It's called "Rent-a-Grandma."  I'm serious.

No, this grandma doesn't send you birthday cards with money or stuff you with homemade peanut butter pie.  "Rent-a-Grandma"  offers the services of life experienced women over 50 for jobs that your grandmother might have helped you with - like child-care, household chores, cooking and even pet sitting!  It's basically a new twist from a Los Angeles-based agency that offers domestic services.  Yahoo! News   reports the agency has already made a deal with an entrepreneur in Texas to roll out five franchises there.

There's no word on one coming to the Western New York area yet, but this gives us an idea...  How about "Rent-a-Grandpa?"  He could specialize in yard work and storytelling.  After all, with grandma working, he might be bored.
