Things are going to get warm and humid over the next 48 hours here in Western New York before a cooldown comes our way.

The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a cooler and drier June but over the next two days it will be very warm in the 716.

We could see a new record high on Wednesday.


The current record high for June 5th is 87 degrees which was set back in 1944. The current forecast is calling for a high near 86 but with a slight change in the cloud cover or the wind, we could tie or even pass the current record.

Don't get too used to the warm weather. A cold front is set to move across the region and that will bring a pretty significant cooldown. Starting on Thursday through the weekend we are looking at high temperatures that will be below average for this time of year.

We are looking at temperatures in the 60s and low 70s for the rest of the week.
