$50,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

There was one lucky "Big Money" winning ticket sold in New York State from last night's Powerball drawing. The New York State Lottery announced that one ticket won $50,000.

One 3rd-place winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from Wednesday's drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. That ticket took home $50,000.

There were also 32 4th-place winning Powerball tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers but missed the Powerball number. 29 of those tickets won $100, while the other three had the Powerplay, which increased the winning amount by 5x, and they won $500 each.

There were also 67 5th-place winning Powerball tickets sold in New York State. These tickets matched three out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. 55 of those tickets won $100 each, while the other 11 had the Powerplay and won $500 each.

Here were the winning numbers from last night's Powerball drawing:9-17-29-61-66 with a Powerball number of 26.

There was no grand prize winner from last night's Powerball drawing. That means the jackpot for the next drawing is now up to $467 million dollars. That would be one of the largest lottery jackpots ever won in New York State history. The Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 11 pm.
