The "AIDS Healthcare Foundation" is asking sweethearts nationwide to avoid buying Hershey products this Valentine's Day. So why are you being asked to avoid Hershey Kisses on the most appropriate day of the year?

The "Aids Healthcare Foundation"  launched an effort on Facebook and Twitter last Friday asking lovebirds to forgo Hershey sweets this holiday to protest the Milton Hershey School's rejection of a 13-year-old who has AIDS.  Milton Hershey founded Hershey more than 100 years ago.

Pennlive.com  writes:  "Last year, Milton Hershey School  officials denied the boy admission to the Derry Twp. residential school for economically disadvantaged children after learning of his condition."  The website reports the school claims the boy would pose a direct threat to the school's other students.  The decision is currently the subject of a lawsuit.

A Hershey Spokesman has reportedly said via email the school and company are “separate entities that operate independently.”
