A massive snowstorm is expected to impact travel across New York State during one of the busiest travel times of the year.
If you are like me, chances are you are headed to someone's home for Thanksgiving dinner, and this year travel will be more difficult than in years past. We are looking at scattered winter snowstorms across the state.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul Warns Of Thanksgiving Travel Issues
With that being said, New York Governor Kathy Hochul is warning travelers to use extra caution when on the roads this week. She also wants to make sure that people traveling across the state can get the latest weather and travel information 24/7.
New York State has a service where you can get weather and other emergency information sent right to your phone. You just have to text the county you live in to 333111 from your mobile phone, and you will get the latest information sent right to you.
Winter Weather Warning Issued Across New York State.
Cold, snow, and very windy conditions are waiting for New Yorkers over Thanksgiving Day weekend. There are Winter Storm warnings in place for parts of New York through Friday night.
If you are traveling, be careful on the roads.
