5 Spring Break Travel Tips For New Yorkers
For many parents and students in New York today is the final day of school before Spring Break.
If you are traveling this year for Spring Break or Easter, there are some tips you should know to make your trip run a little smoother.
CHECK IN ONLINE
If you are traveling and you have the option to check in to your hotel, plane, or rental car online, you should go ahead and do that. Checking in online is a great way to avoid long lines and also gives you a chance to make sure all your information is correct. Also, make sure to have your airline or hotel app downloaded on your phone with notifications turned on. That way, you will get all the latest information right away.
ARRIVE EARLY AT THE AIRPORT
If you are flying to your destination this year, you will want to make sure to get to the airport at least two hours early. This will give you plenty of time to get through security and get your boarding passes if you didn't download them. It also gives you plenty of time to take care of things in case of delays or any issues.
DRESS COMFORTABLE
Whether you are driving, flying, or riding, you want to be comfortable. You should dress in layers in case you get hot or cold. You should also dress in comfortable loose clothing so that if you have to wait due to a deal, you can relax and lounge.

STAY HYDRATED
Drink plenty of water when you travel, especially if you are flying. It can be very dry in airplane cabins during flights, and being hydrated will make your travel easier.
BRING EXTRA CHARGERS
You will want to make sure you have enough juice for your smart devices. Making sure you have an extra charger or battery pack is a great way to make sure you stay connected during your trip.
