When Is The Correct Time To Eat Thanksgiving Dinner?
We are getting closer and closer to the biggest eating day of the year, but there is one major question that needs to be asked before we start carving up the turkey.
When is the correct time to eat Thanksgiving dinner? There are a couple of reasons behind the correct answer to this question.
When Is The Best Time For Thanksgiving Dinner?
If my opinion, Thanksgiving Day dinner is not just a dinner, it is a feast, and one that should last as long as possible. For me, the correct time to eat Thanksgiving dinner is around 11:30 am or Noon. Not only do you not have to wait around all day waiting to eat, but you can set yourself up for a second dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
When I was younger, all my family would come over to our house around 11 am, and we would sit down and feast on dinner. After that, we would watch football, or head outside to play horseshoes while some people played cards and had some drinks. Around 4 or 5 pm, we would do a second "dinner" where we would have turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes, veggies, and some more desserts.
It was the perfect amount of time before 1st and 2nd dinners, and we would eat as much turkey as we could during both dinners.

The only drawback to eating early is that you need to start cooking early. My parents would get up VERY early on Thanksgiving Day to make sure all the food was prepared for the feast.
