We are not out of the woods yet when it comes to the Winter weather this week across New York State.

We have another cold day and night on tap before a warm-up heads our way. Parts of New York State are under a Frost Advisory starting at 8 pm tonight until 10 am on Thursday.

FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Temperatures in the low to mid 30s will result in frost formation. Some of the colder valleys may even drop into the upper 20s.

* WHERE...Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga,Oswego, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, and Chautauqua Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 10 AM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left unprotected.

There is also a chance of scattered wet snow showers for parts of New York as well.

The 10-day forecast for New York is calling for sunshine with temperatures in the 60s for Saturday and Sunday. It gets even better as we head into next week.

The early weather forecasts are calling for temperatures in the upper 60s and maybe even 70 next Tuesday.
