On top of dealing with smoke and poor air quality from the wildfires in Canada, parts of New York State are on the watch for severe weather, including tornadoes.

Elevated Risk Of Tornadoes For Parts Of New York State

A massive storm front is moving in from the southwest, and that will bring a chance in our forecast. After several days of hot, humid, but dry weather, that changes today with scattered showers and a threat of severe weather.

The biggest chance of severe weather, including thunderstorms and possible tornadoes, will be the Western part of New York State. From the PA/NY border to Rochester, that area is going to see the highest risk of a tornado or two.

Poor Air Quality Expected This Weekend In New York State

Earlier this week, the world's worst air quality was found in New York State. The smoke from over 150 wildfires in Canada caused issues from Buffalo to New York City.
