Travel in New York State could be difficult over the next 24 to 48 hours as a massive winter storm front moves across the state.

Winter weather warnings and watches have already been issued for several parts of New York State and one of the biggest problems with this storm system will be the wind.

Winds could be gusting up to 50 miles per hour and the falling snow could cause white-out conditions and lead to problems along the roads in the state.

The storm is set to impact the area today and really ramp up the snow and winds tonight into Thursday morning and continue into Thursday evening.

Travel to and from work and school on Thursday could be impacted, so make sure you plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to get where you are going.

Also if you plan on being on the road, make sure to clear off all the snow from your vehicle or you could end up getting a ticket.
