Early forecasts are calling for widespread thunderstorms and possible heavy downpours that could lead to flooding in certain parts of the state.

It also looks like it will be a wet weekend across the state as well. Looking ahead, most forecasts are calling for this weather system to be around for the next couple of days and that means rain will be in the forecast until early next week.
