Longest Running Roller Coaster In The World Is In Western New York
You don't have to drive far to take a ride on the longest actively running roller coaster in America.
Now that warmer weather will be coming to Western New York, you can pack up the kids and head East to ride on the longest continuously running rollercoaster in the country.
Ride The Jackrabbit Roller Coaster
According to their website, Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester is home to the longest continuously running rollercoaster in America. The Jack Rabbit was built in 1920 and has run every year since then.
The crew even went into the park during COVID to run the coaster so that it could still be considered the record holder.

According to several websites, the Jack Rabbit is the 4th oldest coaster in the world and the second oldest in America.
Only the Leap-The-Dips in Altoona, Pennsylvania, is older, but the coaster was closed from 1985 to 1999, so the Jack Rabbit is the oldest continuously running rollercoaster in America.
When Does Seabreeze Amusement Park Open?
If you want to take the family for a ride, you won't have to wait long. After some unseasonably cool weather this month, Seabreeze is expected to open for the season on June 1st, 2025.
