
Massive Honda Recall Impacts Drivers In New York
Honda has issued a recall of over 1.5 million vehicles which will have a massive impact on drivers in New York State.
Honda issued the recall due to an issue with the gearbox that could impact the steering of the vehicles.

According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Authority, the recall affects 1,693,199 Honda vehicles. The recall affects 2022 to 2025 models and includes the following models.
- 2022-2025 Honda Civic 4D
- 2025 Honda Civic 4D Hybrid
- 2022-2025 Honda Civic 5D
- 2025 Honda Civic 5D Hybrid
- 2023-2025 Honda Civic Type R
- 2023-2025 Honda CR-V
- 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid
- 2025 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle
- 2023-2025 Honda HR-V
- 2023-2025 Acura Integra
- 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S
Increased tension and issues with the gearbox could lead to steering problems and accidents or injury.
Honda dealers will replace the gear spring and fix other issues related to the recall for free. If you have a vehicle impacted by the recall you should a recall notification in the mail by November 18th.

The recall numbers for Honda are SJS, MJU, QJT, and VJV.

So far in 2024, there have been over 630 recalls of vehicles in the US which impacted over 21 million vehicles.
