Thousands of Dodge Ram and SUV drivers in New York are being affected by a massive recall by Dodge's parent company Chrysler.

Chrysler has issued a recall for over 200,000 Dodge Durango, Ram 2500s, and Ram 3500s vehicles. The vehicles could experience an issue with their anti-lock braking controls that could lead to the loss of stability resulting in a possible accident.

Chrysler dealers will update the anti-lock braking control module software for free and the company is expected to send out notification letters to dealers and owners by July 26.

If you have any concerns or questions about your vehicle, you are advised to contact the dealer where you purchased the vehicle or you can contact Chrysler's recall assistance center.

On top of the 200,000 + vehicles being recalled in the United States, another 17,000 vehicles are being recalled in Canada.

This recall comes just a couple of weeks after Nissan issued a recall that impacted over 80,000 vehicles.

Nissan has issued a "Do Not Drive" warning for over 80,000 vehicles after learning that issues with the airbags could end up sending metal fragments into the vehicle cabin when deployed.

The "Do Not Drive" warning has been issued for certain model years 2002-2006 Nissan Sentras, 2002-2004 Nissan Pathfinders, and 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4s.

If you have any of these vehicles you should immediately take it to the nearest Nissan dealership to see if your airbag needs to be replaced.
