Everyone has one, a common phrase that drives you crazy. It might be because it makes no sense, it might be because it is overused, or it might drive you nuts because the person saying it has no idea what it means.

So if you are looking to make your workplace a little nicer, there are some phrases you should skip using on your co-workers.

Here are 5 phrases that drive New Yorkers crazy.

"IT IS WHAT IT IS"

Um....no it is not. If I decide to change it, it is not what it is. This is a phrase that people use when they screw up or you get shortchanged and they don't have an answer to why.

"THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID"

This might be the most overused phrase in the American workplace. The worst part is that the person saying it thinks they are the first person to make that joke. We can blame the creators of "The Office" for this phrase slipping into our lexicon.

"EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON"

Sorry Sally, the fact that you hurt your thumb was not conceived a billion years ago during the "big bang". It is your lack of hammer skills that leads to your thumb hurting.

"THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"

Sorry Karen, but the customer is not always right, most times they are wrong. Yes, businesses need your money but the fact you think they owe you everything and then some is crazy. If as a customer you are wrong, you are wrong.

"IT'S FRIDAY EVE"

The use of "Eve" should be for Holidays only. "Christmas Eve", and "New Year's Eve" make sense, but "Friday Eve" is just Thursday. You can go ahead and just say Thursday.
