You would have to go back to the late 19th century. According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, the coldest High temperature recorded in Buffalo on May 22nd was back in 1883 when the high only reached 42 degrees. If the weather stays like it is, there is an extremely long shot chance that we could get close to the record.

The lowest Low temperature for May 22nd in Buffalo was back in 2002 when the low hit 36 degrees.
