MusicalFare Theatre Presents "Hair" the musical

MusicalFare Theatre opened the 2026-27 season with the hit musical "Hair," and it is the perfect night out if you are looking to see and hear amazing talent in Western New York.

The folks over at MusicalFare Theatre couldn't have picked a better musical to kick off the season. With everything going on around the world, a look back at the 60's and what people were dealing with during the Vietnam War compares to what we are dealing with today.

This was the first time I have seen a show at Shea's 710, and it is a great place to see a show. The bar is pretty sweet too. They had a special drink for the show, "The Freedom Fizz", made with bourbon, peach blossom, lemon juice, and ginger beer, which was very good as well.

Overall, the musical was great. I loved how the characters came into the crowd during the opening number and then throughout the musical. I even loved the couple of times characters broke the 4th wall and addressed the audience.

The amount of local talent can't be oversold. My wife and I were in awe of how well the cast interacted and how the musical sounded throughout the evening.

If you are looking for a fun night out, I would recommend seeing "Hair" before its run is over on October 4th.
