Lots of sunshine and little wind greeted the Second Annual Easter Bonnet Parade held Easter Sunday on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.
The inspiration for the parade came from a similar event in New York City. About 150 people walked in this year's event sponsored by the Elmwood Village Association. The parade also featured an Easter egg hunt and a Bonnet contest, with prizes awarded for:
• Most Springlike/Easter Bonnet
• Tallest Bonnet
• Buffalo/WNY Themed Bonnet
• Most Creative Bonnet
• Best Group/Team Display of Bonnets
• Best Family Display of Bonnets
