Two “Big Money” Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In New York

Double-check your Powerball tickets today. The New York State Lottery announced that there were two "Big Money" winning tickets sold from Monday's Powerball drawing.

Each one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball and won the 3rd place prize of $50,000.

No one claimed the grand prize from Monday's Powerball drawing, which means the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is now up to $240 million dollars.

Monday's winning Powerball numbers were: 17-34-46-66-67 with a Powerball number of 14.

Tickets for the Powerball cost $2 each or you can pay $3 per ticket and play the Powerplay. The Powerplay allows the winning ticket to have its prize doubled, tripled, quadrupled, or even 5x times the amount. So for example, a Powerball ticket that won $50,000 with a 3x Powerplay ticket would win $150,000.

The Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 10:59 pm. You must purchase your ticket by 10 pm the evening of the drawing.

The last time someone won the grand prize jackpot was back on December 7th, 2024. One lucky ticket that matched all the numbers and had the Powerball was sold in New York State and won $256 million dollars.

That jackpot turned out to be the 5th largest lottery jackpot ever won in New York State. The current record for the largest lottery jackpot in New York State history is $476 million dollars. That was won off a Mega Millions ticket back in April of 2023.
